DAILY CLASS CHOICES
You will be asked to rank your top ten choices from these selections, with number 1 being your highest preference. Please choose ten different classes. We will do our best to give you your top six choices on your schedule. You will have these classes every day at the same time.
Beth–More Bible Analogies-God created so many things in our physical world to teach us deeper spiritual lessons. Sometimes we can become disconnected from some of the metaphors and analogies in the Bible due to our cultural differences. We will spend time again this year exploring four more metaphors/analogies to help us understand the intended lessons.
Gary–Life of David
Simon–Revelation: Kingdom Victorious
Cindy–Ruth-The book of Ruth gives us encouragement to live a godly life even when those around us are not. We will look at Ruth’s character, God’s care and learn how Ruth’s story points us to Jesus.
Marie–Jesus’ parables-Jesus’ parables are like spiritual maps for kingdom citizens. They illustrate lessons to be relived again and again by reading, recollecting and reflection; pathways that lead us in the practice of living as Jesus would have us live, often remapping our hearts, moving us the direction of knowing Him more fully.
Camellia–Women of the Kingdom-We will be looking at women in the scriptures who became part of the Kingdom and what we can learn from them.
Teresa–What is the Kingdom?-If we are to seek it first, we must know what we are seeking! What did Jesus mean when He said, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand”? Wasn’t God always king? What is the difference in the kingdom of Israel in the OT to the kingdom in the New? We will answer these and other essential questions about the kingdom of God.
Julie–Redeeming The Time – In today’s world of so many opportunities, it can be difficult to choose the best use of your time. This class will focus on God’s gift of time, His guidance in Scripture, and practical applications to improve our time management as Christian women.
Kelly–Daniel-How can we determine to serve God when it is difficult, when it seems like we’re the only one, when it is intimidating, when it requires more courage than we think we have, when it might cause physical harm, when we don’t know how it will turn out, when all around us is evil, when we don’t completely understand? Let’s study about an all wise and powerful God, who is in control, despite what it looks like around us and who is worthy of our praise, service and sacrifice.
Rachel–Singing Through the Psalms-When the psalms were originally written, they were songs that the people and individuals sang. Now, we have a book that put all them to tunes we are familiar with! In class, we will read and talk about several psalms each day, and then sing them together!
